Aperture Telescopes arranged a three day star gazing session at the location of Abbott Mount, Champawat District, Uttarakhand. This is an effort by the District Tourism Development Corporation of Champawat to promote the destination as an Astro Friendly one. The event was called 'Astroweek'
Sitara Himalaya is an opulent brand new home-stay in Himachal Pradesh. The opening of the home-stay was on the date of Baisakhi, 2023.
We are quite thrilled to make an 8-inch mirror for Indian Institute of Delhi. Quite surprisingly the purpose of this mirror is not at all for a telescope, but it will be used for Schlieren Imaging System.
There is a beautiful grassy expanse just about 500 metres eastwards and about 100 metres higher elevation from the road head of Jalori Pass. It takes about 15-20 minutes to climb up to this fantastic panoramic vantage point. You can see the Pir Panjal, Dhauladhar as well as the Shivalik from this location.
Our new Mirror-O-Matic machine has been operational since some time now. In this video you can see a 20-inch mirror being finished on the new machine.
